On November 8, 2018, the CEO of Disney, Bob Igler, announced that Disney would launch a new streaming service called Disney+.

The service was launched on the midnight of November 12, 2019, in three countries. It offered content sourced from their main entertainment studios, including National Geographic, Marvel Studios, Walt Disney Pictures, and Pixar. They also include select films from 20th Century Studios, Hollywood Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, and Searchlight Pictures.

With this library of must-see movies and TV shows, Disney+ has nearly 7,000 television series and 500 films, apart from the original creations. Thanks to the great content and affordable pricing, Disney+ has proved to be a hit with customers.
